I just figured this was the right place to start.
We gained an hour and I don’t even have small children in the house and yet Daylight Savings still seems to knock me down every time. Or it’s the time change PLUS me staying up too late and waking up too early. Or D.) all of the above.
I have pure nonsense on my brain. I want to ask you your favorite movie to watch in November. Or have we already moved on to Christmas movies? I’m 100% on board with that too. Tell me everything. After we talk about movies, I’ll probably ask about shows and then your favorite thing about November. Have you decorated for the holidays already? I have all green lights around here but I just haven’t had the time yet. COMING SOON THO.
For better or for worse, “falling back” makes me want to hunker down for movie nights, hot chocolate…cozy blankets, and oversized sweatshirts. Also puzzles. (How did I almost forget puzzles? My apologies. I won’t let that happen again.)
So tell me your favorite thing about November. Tell me what’s bringing you joy or the joy you’re looking forward to. It’s been a long few months and I’m ready to hunker down for the nonsense and joy. Right on schedule.
✨JOY in Real Life!✨
My friend, Ang, and I were talking today about the fall colors. We’re not entirely sure but it FEELS like the fall colors are showing’ off more than usual. Or it’s that we’re normally too busy to notice and this is how it usually is. Either way, I’m slightly obsessed. I also, as I mentioned on Instagram, feel like I’m learning a lot from the change in the season. (Believe it or not, I do realize how cheesy that sounds. Still true.)
So here’s to enjoying all the fall things (and apparently my feet?) while it lasts. It pairs well with Christmas. I checked.
✨Song of the Week!✨
I don’t know but it just feels like the right song for this week. (Maybe because it’s a family favorite? Probably.)
✨JOY From the Internet!✨
Well…all the nonsense I’ve been talking about is about so continue. You’re welcome? (I’m sorry.)
➡️ But first, please cheer on this duck.
➡️ I’m not saying this is me. I’m also not, not saying it:
➡️ Jill in real life:
➡️ Wait. This is also me:
➡️ Poms are particular:
➡️ This feels more relatable than one would expect:
➡️ Basically all the joy from the internet this week is a very telling story about my life. I don’t know what to say about this:
➡️ No lies detected:
➡️ Guys. I’m starting to get embarrassed about how me this is:
➡️ This is not me-like. But I did find it funny:
➡️ Cars also have drink holders:
➡️ Speaking of cozy things:
➡️ I love this post. It’s so us.
✨Inexplicable Joy✨
I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to bring joy to others…to help others see and fight for joy. I think that’s why I love this Daily Prayer that I read on Friday’s Tell Me Somethin Good:
Our Father
Lord, if we are to be afraid of anything, let it be the fear of not committing ourselves fully to you. Let us fear that the day will pass without our having lightened the load of another. Let us fear that someone will come looking for you and find only us Amen.
“Lighten the load of another.” That’s the hope, isn’t it?
Have an amazing week, everyone.
💛 Love, Jill
